The Korean wave is the phenomenon of
spreading Korean entertainment and popular culture beyond frontier. It is also
called by ‘Hallyu’. This term was used in China at the first. Asia continent was
easy to be influenced by ‘Hallyu’, because they are closer comparatively and
have many points of similarity with Korea.
Then, improving technologies and integrating
both Korean values and Western elements, ‘Hallyu’ was spread toward the other
countries. As a result, many people in the world became the fan of ‘Hallyu’.
That has effects, which are increasing attention of Korean cultural content,
Korean language education, Korean products and lifestyles. In addition, Korea
got many foreign tourist.
